Yesterday, our retreat's yoga instructor posted something on the official facebook page that totally blew my mind: It's stretchy, bendy, toned, and lovely Meghan Currie doing an amazing yoga routine on a beach, and it is mesmerizing! I don't know if I'll ever be at that level (though wouldn't I love to have such a flexible spine and loose muscles!), but I can dream and aspire, right? Later this summer I'll be attending my first ever yoga retreat. I decided to do it on a whim; a friend is retreat chef, and I've always wanted to travel to Ibiza, and I had nothing planned for the end of August. It seemed like a great opportunity to try something new, even though I'm definitely not a yogini (though I have been doing the same 10-minute routine every morning for the last 10 years). I'm the type whose legs start to quiver after about 30 seconds of warrior pose, so this will truly be an exercise in stretching (ha!) the limits.
